Celebrating 64-years of tradition at the Niagara Grape & Wine Festival

St. Catharines, ONT (TNWS) – The countdown is on for Niagara’s Largest Harvest celebration.
Join the Niagara Grape & Wine Festival for its 64th Annual Niagara Wine Festival that takes place from September 12 to 27, 2015.
Niagara is the proud home of Canada’s largest grape and wine industry and we welcome you to join the festivities.
The Festival Wine Route programming will launch on September 12 with the ever-popular harvest installment of the Wine Festival Discovery Pass. The Discovery Pass is your ticket to eight incredible wine and culinary experiences at participating wineries along the Niagara Wine Route.
On weekend two and three the harvest celebration continues in Downtown St. Catharines where historic Montebello Park presents six days of great live entertainment, seminars, family activities like the Mayor’s Grape Stomp, The Pied Piper Parade and Grapeland.
For two weekends, the Centre Stage will host a roster full of incredible Canadian talent. Popular local bands and Tribute bands will take to the stage including; The Caverners and Hotel California. And the Celebrity Luncheon, is not the only place to get your New Country music fix as Sundays will be hotter than ever with two New Country line-ups featuring a showcase of incredible Canadian Country talent including Autumn Hill and Two Small Pistols.
In iconic Montebello Park, the Fallsview Casino Resort hosts The Wine and Culinary Food Experience presenting more than 100 VQA wines for tasting along with local culinary favourites. And for an elevated park experience with all the comforts of a VIP area, join us in the Harvest Lounge with its private wine bar, seating, washrooms and specially-prepared charcuterie platters.
On Saturday “Educate Your Senses” Wine and Cheese Seminars presented by the Cool Climate Oenology and Viticulture Institute (CCOVI) at Brock University will engage local winemakers, as well as the Dairy Farmers of Canada, in lively demonstrations, discussions and tastings.
The Meridian Grande Parade takes place on Saturday, September 26 and will be a “Harvest Street Party” celebrating 64-years of Grape and Wine traditions. Joining our drumline stop and show, the parade route will highlight the talents of marching bands, dance troops, floats and amazing performers.
Join our annual Harvest Drive to help our local food bank, Community Care. Don’t forget your non-perishable food items and help us to beat last year’s target of 8,500-lbs of food and 3,500-lbs of life essentials for those in need in our community.
