FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
May 12, 2015
TORONTO-Suspense thriller writer Allison Cosgrove is taunting us again.
Cosgrove compels us to turn the pages as Detective Stan Brookshire peels back layers of evidence to finally slap the ‘cuffs on his man.
A cop-admiring Cosgrove, who was born in Mississauga, is a married mother of three teenage daughters, who runs her own business by day while creating thrilling who-done-it worlds by night.
She enjoys spending time with her family hiking in the woods or sitting by the fire reading an entertaining book.
Cosgrove has been reading and writing detective mysteries since the age of 12. She became serious about the craft after the birth of her youngest daughter, when she decided to put her riveting words to paper for others to enjoy.
And enjoy they did now four books later.
The page-turning Pieces of You is the fourth installment in her Detective Stan Brookshire series that features the wily and smart street cop, who always nabs the bad guys and gets to the bottom of the crime.
The long-awaited Pieces of You will be released on July 5, 2015.
For escape and suspenseful summer reading, join Cosgrove and the crime-fighting cop in their trek from Book One: Sacrifice of Innocence; and the entry of Detective Brookshire, of the Lake City Police Department, to solve a case.
You wouldn’t want to miss Book 2: Dragon Twins or Book 3: Insomniac’s Dream, which like the others, have been receiving rave reviews, this time with the brave detective rescuing a woman who was kidnapped.
“I can’t wait for the follow-up and to read more about Stan Brookshire,” says Joel Mark Harris, the author of 1000 Bayonets. “I would strongly recommend it to anybody who has grown tired of the other detective series out there.”“It was a well-crafted mystery that kept me on the edge of my seat,” Harris said of Insomniac’s Dream. “But the real reason I kept reading was I felt like I really got to know Detective Brookshire through the story. I loved his interactions with the different characters and how he becomes emotionally involved.”
Author Lacie Redding, of Kissimmee, Fla., says Cosgrove doesn’t miss a beat in the Stan Brookshire series..
“Stan still hasn’t really learned how to follow the rules; will this be the case he loses his job over?” asks Redding.”I highly recommend this read, as well as its predecessor ‘Sacrifice of Innocence’.”
Cosgrove will be appearing at Word on the Street Toronto 2015, a national book and magazine festival, on September 27, 2015 at Harbourfront Centre. She can be reached at 416-200-3506 or copies of her books can be obtained at www.stanbrookshire.com
